Product Description

The HP Series Multi-cylinder Hydraulic Cone Crusher is a modern crushing solution engineered for high capacity and consistent product shape. Unlike traditional crushers that rely on single particle breakage, this machine uses inter-particle crushing to achieve better results with less wear.

This crusher is ideal for secondary, tertiary, and quaternary applications, processing hard rock, gravel, and industrial minerals.

Robust Mechanical Design

The main frame is constructed from high-strength cast steel, providing a rigid foundation for crushing forces. Four hydraulic cylinders secure the adjustment ring and provide tramp iron protection. When an uncrushable object enters the chamber, these cylinders retract instantly, allowing the object to pass without damaging the machine. Once the object clears, the cylinders return the adjustment ring to its original position automatically.

The main shaft is forged from alloy steel and fixed in position. Unlike single-cylinder designs where the shaft moves up and down, this fixed shaft configuration eliminates stress concentration points and provides a stable mounting for the crushing head. The eccentric bushing rotates around the stationary shaft, producing a gyrating motion that crushes material against the bowl liner.

Advanced Crushing Chamber

The chamber features a steep feed opening that quickly draws material into the crushing zone. As material moves downward, the gap between mantle and bowl liner decreases progressively, compressing particles against each other. This inter-particle crushing action produces cubical product with minimal flaky or elongated particles.

The chamber accepts feed sizes up to 300mm depending on cavity selection. Four standard cavity types are available fine, medium, coarse, and extra coarse. Changing from one cavity to another requires only replacing the mantle, bowl liner, and a few auxiliary parts.

Hydraulic and Lubrication Systems

The hydraulic system performs three functions. First, it raises and lowers the adjustment ring to change the closed side setting. Second, it provides overload protection as described above. Third, it powers a hydraulic motor that rotates the bowl assembly during liner changes, eliminating the need for overhead cranes.

The lubrication system circulates oil to the eccentric bushing, main shaft bearings, and countershaft bearings. A bronze sleeve supports the crushing head, while a separate thrust bearing handles vertical loads. Oil temperature and flow are monitored continuously. If oil flow drops or temperature rises above normal, the control system triggers an alarm and can shut down the crusher to prevent damage.

Dust Sealing

Dust ingress is a common cause of bearing failure in cone crushers. The HP Series uses a positive pressure seal system. A small blower pushes clean air into the seal area, creating pressure that forces dust away from moving parts. This design requires no daily greasing and remains effective in dry, dusty environments.

Ease of Maintenance

All wear parts are accessible from the top of the crusher. Liner changes require no backing compound the mantle is secured with a self-locking bolt, and the concave liners are held by wedges that tighten during operation. The hydraulic motor rotates the bowl assembly up and out of the way, providing clear access to the crushing chamber.

Automation

The crusher connects to a PLC based control panel that displays real-time operating data including power draw, hydraulic pressure, oil temperature, and discharge setting. The system logs historical data for performance analysis and includes remote monitoring capability for factory support.
