Conventional sand washing lines lose a significant percentage of fine sand (0.1–0.35 mm) to the overflow stream. By integrating dehydration and fine sand recovery into one compact system, it captures material that would otherwise settle in ponds or be hauled away as sludge.

The semi-closed design allows unrecovered sediment and wastewater to discharge from the hydrocyclone overflow outlet, enabling flexible configuration of multi-stage recovery trains.
