Instead of traditional welded construction, the frame uses pin-and-bolt connections combined with riveting. This method removes stress concentration points and significantly raises fatigue strength. The swing jaw assembly is built for demanding conditions. It includes a forged eccentric shaft, large heavy-duty rolling bearings, and a swing jaw body shaped by finite element analysis. A heavy-duty guard plate mounted on the upper part of the swing jaw protects the jaw body and internal bearings from impact damage caused by falling material. Unlike traditional designs with uniform eccentricity, the XY European crusher features eccentricity that gradually increases from top to bottom, reaching its peak at the discharge opening. A steeper toggle plate angle works together with this design to produce a longer linear stroke with each revolution of the eccentric shaft. The combination of aggressive jaw motion and maximum bottom eccentricity delivers higher throughput, a larger crushing ratio, and improved product shape.
The deep, symmetrical V-type crushing chamber ensures that the actual feed opening width matches the nominal width without compromise. Feed opening depth has been carefully optimized to let material enter freely, maximizing feed capacity. The nip angle between the moving and fixed jaw liners comes from thorough force analysis. A correctly designed nip angle guarantees strong biting force, keeps material moving downward smoothly, reduces liner wear, and lowers operating costs.
An integral cast steel bearing housing fits the frame perfectly. This design eliminates the extra radial loads that often appear when fastening split or multi-piece bearing housings. With less unnecessary stress, the bearings run more smoothly and enjoy a longer service life.
Fixed jaw plates and swing jaw plates are fully interchangeable and reversible. The left and right cheek plates are also interchangeable with each other. The crusher uses a mechanical discharge opening adjustment device with a gear force-multiplying mechanism and double-wedge technology.
